Gracie, Didith and Moi just came back from watching
Harry Potter 5: Order of the Phoenix from SM Cinema and we enjoyed it -- as a movie. There were many deviations from the book but what can you expect in a two and a half hour movie?! Some deviations: no SNEAK, no Dobby, no quidditch
(they've already said this wouldn't be included), OWL
(well... just a teeny bit really), vanishing cabinet, Hagrid's escape, McGonagall being stunned, Neville being tortured, and the way Sirius died wasn't how I expected it to be. All along, I've thought Sirius was hit by a different spell 'coz in the book it said he was hit by a flash of red light. In the movie, Bellatrix hit him with an Avada Kedavra. There's also the issue about Cho Chang.
*sigh*Enough of that. I'll stop comparing it to the book. Although, there were quite a number of deviations, it's still
a very good movie. It's fast-paced and the special effects are very good. I love the characters -- and that includes Luna "Loony" Lovegood. As with my previous complaints on PoA and GoF regarding Michael Gambon's portrayal of Dumbledore, I can't say much now 'coz my favorite scene in this movie happens to be...
Dumbledore's duel with Voldemort. I love it!
That'll be all for now. Gotta go back to work. I'll just post some more later.
