Is Feb. 26, 2007 a holiday?

Last wednesday, Faye texted us that President Arroyo has declared Feb 26. a holiday. Of course, that got us excited 'coz that means no work for us. However, our CM has stated that we haven't received a memo on that yet.

Was this "holiday" really announced? If yes, can somebody post a link to that announcement? That'd be very much appreciated.

To vote or not to vote?

I just came upon a thread in GirlTalk which held a poll: Are you going to vote or not in this May's senatorial election in the Philippines.

This got me thinking... do I really wanna vote this May? I know it's my responsibility to vote but I really do not like the lineup of candidates. For the time being, I don't think I wanna cast my vote this May. But hey... I still have a couple of months to change my decision. Let's just see...

Anyway, the link below was posted in that same thread in my forum and I have to say it really struck something... What's your take on this?

Is it goodbye for this nation after May polls?

Rivermaya Free Mini Concert

Last night we were treated to a mini concert at the Pelaez Sports Center here in CDO City courtesy of Chowking. The show consisted of a DJ from MOR (Bernie Bitok2x), a performance from a local band (Exodus), a fun performance from a stand up comedian (Donita), and the much awaited performance of Rivermaya. The show ended with a fireworks display to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

Got some pictures of the event in >>my PHOTO section of multiply<<... I only got a few 'coz I didn't know we we're going to that event and my phone battery was super low already. I missed taking pictures of the fireworks.

Harry Potter Book 7 Release Date Announced

Yipee!!! I'm so excited. Just read the news that Harry Potter Book 7 will finally be released this July 21, 2007. Well, it's not the 07/07/07 date I was hoping for. But, WTH, as long as I can finally read the book this year it's ok.

The seventh book's title is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- what does "Hallows" mean? Anyone? I don't think I've read this term in the previous books. Hmmm... gotta review the books again in preparation for the finale.

July will be a very exciting month for me and for all Harry Potter Fanatics out there... there's the 5th movie on July 13 and the last book a week after. hehehe... Gotta start saving for the complete set now.
